I would like to draw kind attention towards Government of the Punjab Finance               Department Time Scale Policy dated 26-07-2017, in supersession of FD. Notification dated             04-01-2016, as detailed below.

                    According to this policy, the employees of BS-11 to BS-15 are deserved for the grant of 2-steps Time Scale on satisfactory completion of 10-years of service.

                   It means that the employee of BS-15, will get 2-step of Time Scale promotion after each 10-year spell of service, i.e. in first spell of 10-year, he will be allowed BS-16, and next spell of 10-years will allow him for BS-17 as Time Scale Promotion.

                  But some departments are not agree with this definition of Time Scale.  Although they are in need of clarification from Finance Department, but in this regard, no one is taking advice and the issue of Time Scale BS-17 is pending with their offices.

               Therefore, it would be appreciable if the Finance Department may himself clarify the factual position for the award of BS-17 to such employees and to decide the same on merit.
